Become a Volunteer and Support Community Care
LRVNA volunteers play an essential role in supporting patients and their families, enhancing the care we provide to our community. Our team of dedicated volunteers and healthcare providers, have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals facing life’s challenges, whether they are recovering from illness, managing chronic conditions, or navigating end-of-life care.
Why Volunteer with LRVNA
Becoming a volunteer is about more than simply giving your time; it’s about making a tangible, positive impact on the lives of others. Whether you’re offering companionship to someone in need, supporting their families and caregivers, or lending your skills to one of our organization events, meaningful volunteer work creates a deep connection between you and those you help.
Our mission is to provide compassionate, holistic support to patients and their families during the end-of-life journey. As hospice volunteers, we are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for those we serve by offering emotional, social, and practical assistance. We strive to create a comforting and dignified environment, ensuring that every individual feels valued, respected, and cared for. Through our commitment to empathy and service, we aim to bring peace, comfort, and a sense of community to patients and their loved ones during this critical time.
When you volunteer with the Lakes Region VNA, you will be part of a compassionate care community. As a volunteer, you will be able to:
- Bring Comfort & Support: Provide companionship, a listening ear, or a friendly presence to patients and their families.
- Make a Direct Impact: Help with daily tasks or provide much-needed respite to family caregivers.
- Gain Experience & Grow: Develop valuable skills, receive specialized training, and grow personally through rewarding volunteer work.
Foster a sense of purpose and fulfillment. Be reminded that small acts of kindness can lead to significant change. Connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for making a difference.
By volunteering, you not only improve the lives of others but also enrich your own life through personal growth, new perspectives, and the knowledge that you are contributing to something greater than yourself.
Volunteer Around Your Schedule
We value our volunteers’ times and try to accommodate your schedule. That’s why we offer flexible opportunities, from as little as a few hours per month to more regular commitments. We work with you so you can work with others.
